How to Break Out of Zip Ties

After watching an article and video by ITS tactical titled “How to Escape from Zip Ties” which demonstrated former Military Veterans and Navy Seals breaking free from heavy duty, 175 lb rating, zip ties we at Survivalbased wanted to see if the average guy could also accomplish this feat.

After a trip to Home Depot for zip ties and duct tape (to protect our wrists) we conducted our own experiment. Here is our video response of an average guy breaking out of zip ties.

Let us know what you think.

What if you are tied with hands behind your back?

    Robert,

No one in the office was able to break the heavy duty zip ties behind the back. Our response would be to try everything to get it to the front. ITS Tactical has some good videos on that.
